History
Child & Youth Pediatric Day Clinics, Inc. ("CYPDC") began offering outpatient mental health services to infants, children, and their families in 1988. In 1997 CYPDC expanded to offer multidisciplinary services, including speech, physical and occupational therapy, pharmacology, nutrition, audiology, education, and other services, in day treatment settings throughout Arkansas. In 1999, additional locations were acquired under the name of Pediatric Specialty Care, Inc. ("PSCI"). Today, CYPDC and PSCI operate under the umbrella of Ascent Children's Health Services ("Ascent®") located in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Since its founding, Ascent has evolved into a comprehensive, integrated early-intervention program for at-risk pre-school children in Arkansas.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to treat infants and children in a multidisciplinary developmental and therapeutic setting to ensure their maximum level of development and readiness for entering a unique world. By developing the whole person, we pave the way for our clients to achieve success in their future endeavors.
Populations Served
Our clinics provide developmental early-intervention day treatment services for special-needs children from birth through six years of age and outpatient therapeutic and mental health services for patients up to 21 years of age.
