History
Oak Ridge Treatment Center opened in 1999 to provide quality residential care to emotionally troubled youngsters. It was founded in response to the demonstrated need expressed by various state and local agencies. Oak Ridge has a 14 acre campus and is located adjacent to the 330,000 acre Wayne National Forest. The setting is ideal for youngsters and allows them to enjoy an extensive array of outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and hiking, along with the more traditional recreational and program activities.
Oak Ridge Treatment Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of Youth and Family Centered Services, Inc.

lifestyle, and excellent care.
Populations Served

Types of Programs
Oak Ridge Treatment Center provides two programs for youngsters. The Typical Needs Program provides treatment and care for emotionally troubled boys of average intellectual functioning. Our Dual Diagnosed Program serves emotionally troubled boys who suffer from mental retardation and/or related developmental disabilities. While youngsters being served in our Typical Needs Program are expected to exit the facility prior to their 18th birthday, youngsters participating in our Dual Diagnosed Program are permitted to continue care beyond their 18th birthday, as long as the child demonstrates continued progress in treatment.
We provide constant staff supervision as well as 24-7 nursing care.
Oak Ridge School is an on-site private state chartered program designed to meet the educational needs of our residents. It is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education and is able to transfer education credits to public school districts when youngsters are discharged from our programs. The school offers life skills training, a GED preparation program, a pre-vocational training program, in addition to its traditional coursework and classroom activities. The school is staffed with a doctoral level administrator, certified teachers, and teacher aides.
