History
Millcreek of Pontotoc (“Pontotoc”) opened in May of 2000 to meet the overwhelming need for both mental health and educational services for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents in Northeast Mississippi. Pontotoc is a 51-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility providing quality therapeutic care and educational services for its patients.
Millcreek of Pontotoc is a wholly owned subsidiary of Youth and Family Centered Services, Inc.
Mission Statement
Our goal at Millcreek of Pontotoc is to be the premier provider of mental health care services for children and adolescents in Mississippi. Our approach includes a strong emphasis on both excellent treatment and in education services. Our team of mental health professionals instill both family and community values. Each member of the Millcreek team is here because of a deep commitment to providing the best care possible for our patients.

Children and adolescents 6-17 years of age.
Types of Programs
Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) is a highly structured therapeutic environment for child and adolescents ages 6-17 who are in need of residential services to effectively treat severe emotional and behavioral disorders. The goal of our treatment team is to allow for our patients’ successful reintegration into their homes and local communities.
A Day Treatment Program is also offered at Millcreek of Pontotoc. The Day Treatment Program is designed to provide assessment and treatment of children and adolescents ages 6 - 18 years with emotional disabilities that can benefit from more intense services then outpatient, but do not require a 24 - hour inpatient setting.
Millcreek Schools, Inc. offers educational programming for children with special needs. Individual education plans address the needs of each student with consideration given to styles and rates of learning. Our fully accredited school is designed to maximize the ability of its residents to maintain their grade placement while they and their families proceed through treatment.
