History
Built in 1904 as Springfield Baptist Hospital, Lakeland Regional Hospital has served the community for more than 95 years. The hospital has gone through a number of major renovations with the most recent in 2003.

Lakeland Regional Hospital is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Youth and Family Centered Services, Inc.

Mission Statement
Lakeland Regional Hospital will provide comprehensive psychiatric services in a cost-effective manner, which meets the needs of our customers and the community we serve.

Populations Served
Lakeland Regional Hospital (LRH) has 116 total operational beds which are comprised of 60 hospital beds and 56 residential care beds. There are three acute units; a 20-bed children's unit, a 20-bed coed adolescent unit, and a 20-bed male adolescent unit which serves behavioral and Juvenile Sexual Offender (JSO) populations. Our residential units are comprised of a 20-bed male behavioral therapy unit, an 18-bed male JSO unit, and an 18-bed female unit.

Types of Programs
Programs include a Behavioral Therapy Program, designed to work with adolescents who have a primary psychiatric diagnosis and a conduct disorder. The program is well recognized as the only such treatment program within Missouri.

Our hospital based Juvenile Sex Offender program was established in 1996 to fill unmet needs in the area. The treatment provided in this program focuses on assessment, stabilization, and relapse prevention of these patients.

Our services provide a fully accredited onsite educational program for inpatients.

Accreditation
LRH is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

LRH is licensed by the State of Missouri through the Department of Social Services for our residential facility and through the Department of Health and Senior Services for hospital based services.
